It takes nearly 300 volunteers for Summer Hummer to run smoothly. Please consider filling out an application to join our team. It's tremendously rewarding, not to mention a lot of fun! You will find there are so many unique ways to serve based on your personality and abilities. Indicate your preference on the application. If you have questions about where you can best serve in Summer Hummer, email the Staff Coordinator at: summerhummer@westwoodbaptist.com

When to Enroll

Sunday, March 13th: Volunteers may begin enrollment. Once you complete the staff enrollment, a confirmation email will be sent to you with a link to enroll your children (you get to enroll your campers before anyone else).

Friday, April 1st: Registration open to all campers.

All youth staff volunteers will be required to have a pastoral recommendation. Forms will be available after March 13st, 2011.

Payments will be accepted by credit card to save a spot in camp for your campers.  If you need to pay by cash or check, either mail your payment or come into the Church.
NOTE: Registration in camp will not be complete until payment has been received.

How to Enroll

Step 1 - Create a Web Link account
(Only for those new to camp.)

Web Link is a secure database environment that will gather information while keeping it confidential. Once you create a Web Link account and add your family members, you won’t have to do this again next year or when registering for any other event at Westwood.
  • Click on Web Link button above.
  • Click the “Create Account” button
  • Fill out the requested information -you or head of household only is required. You do not fill in your children’s names at this time.  
  • Please use the following format for completing the Web Link account information:
    — Use capital letters for all proper nouns but not ALL CAPS (John Smith, 123 Beach Rd NW, Olympia, WA ).
    — The format for telephone numbers is 360-000-0000.
    — If you are already in Westwood’s Fellowship One database you only need to complete the Web Link account information form for one adult in the family as the user ID and password will apply to the entire family.
  • then return to www.summerhummer.com 
     

Step 2 - Enroll into Summer Hummer               

  • Click on the enroll button above.
  • You will be directed to the Web Link sign in screen.
    Enter your user name and password.
    (If you have forgotten your user name or password follow the directions on the web link page)
  • If you are enrolling as staff select your name and proceed as directed.
  • If you are enrolling your children as staff or for camp, select their names and proceed. If their names are not present, click on the + Add Person button and add the information requested. Continue adding all the children you plan to enroll in Summer Hummer. Once the names are listed, you can then click on SELECT to enroll.
  • A confirmation statement will be sent by email within 24 hours.  If you do not receive a statement, go to the contact page and call or email for assistance.

Note: There will be breakout sessions for first time staff and leaders-in-training (staff who completed 7th and 8th grade) at 7:45pm.
